SO close

This photo was taken yesterday when little Alma was so close to death.

We are so happy and thankful that Alma is still alive! It truly is a miracle. He was able to sit up some today, drink on his own, and even told the staff at RHFH that he was really sick yesterday. If he only knew how close to death he was. :( We are hoping and praying he will continue to heal and we will be able to see him running around playing soccer in the future.

We are are so SO close to having our store open. We have been working hard with Volusion and getting lots of new items listed.

Hope you are as excited as we are to have it go live very soon!

Sodlyne

Sweet Sodlyne came to RHFH with an extremely swollen belly and was later diagnosed with TB.

Lori, who is the rock star nurse at RHFH and is amazing at thinking outside the box, drained all the fluid in the dressing room at the clinic and they have been treating her TB with a variety of meds that she will need to be on for an entire year.

One of the things I love when going down to teach classes and work with artisans is to see how much children change when they are in care at RHFH.

This is what Sodlyne looked like in January. She is truly a completely different kid.

She has so much energy and excitement for life.

She also enjoyed posing for pictures with donations our team brought down. ;)

When I was there in May she looked even better. She was so excited that I had brought pictures of her from our trip in January that she asked to have picture taken WITH her pictures. Love this girl so much and so thankful for all RHFH has done to help her get better.

Artist Alexis Studenberg decided to draw of portrait of this amazing girl and it is now for sale in our store. You will be helping children just like Sodlyne when you purchase this portrait or other items. 100% of the proceeds always go directly to help in Haiti.

Thank you Alexis for capturing Sodlyne so well!
